Find your way forward.

Hi, I'm John, an integrative counsellor offering face-to-face counselling in central Sevenoaks and online sessions across the UK.

I work with adults, professionals, men and young people aged 14+, helping them navigate difficulties in their lives, relationships and work. I have a particular interest in men's mental health and bring an understanding of the pressures and challenges of professional life from my own career.

You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties or loss. Perhaps you're facing something specific, feeling stuck, recognising that something needs to change or simply wanting to understand yourself better.

Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor with Mind and have experience supporting young people.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call and would welcome the opportunity to hear from you.

My approach

My approach to counselling is warm, collaborative and relationship-focused. I’ll listen without judgement, help you reflect and sometimes gently challenge you. I won’t tell you how to live your life or try to fit you into a category. Our work will be guided by what matters to you.

Together, we might explore what’s happening in your life today, reflect on earlier experiences or begin to recognise patterns that influence how you see yourself, relate to others and respond to difficult situations.

I believe meaningful change begins with a trusting relationship where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. I bring honesty, curiosity and my authentic self to our work together, creating space for you to explore things at your own pace.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different psychological approaches, including Internal Family Systems, Transactional Analysis and Attachment Theory. You don’t need to know anything about these, but if you’re curious, I share more about the ideas that inform my work in my journal.

If you feel I could help, I’d welcome the opportunity to hear from you.
